Conflictz

A database of publications on New Zealand conflict of laws/private international law in the areas of jurisdiction, choice of law and recognition and enforcement of judgments in international cross-border litigation

About Us

Welcome to Conflictz, the first electronic database of New Zealand scholarship on conflict of laws/private international law (PIL). This database provides a comprehensive, systematic and living repository of research on New Zealand conflict of laws/PIL.

Content is selected according to two main criteria:

  • whether the publication was produced by a New Zealand researcher and/or
  • whether the publication addresses issues relevant to New Zealand conflict of laws/PIL.

This combination of research by New Zealanders on general PIL practice and theory and research on specific New Zealand PIL issues underscores the focus of the database: to provide a comprehensive resource for reference and research to academics, practitioners and students in New Zealand and further afield, as well as to stimulate the development of a New Zealand conflicts jurisprudence.
